How can we help?

Answers to common questions about QuietAyah.

Please leave out passwords, payment details, and private reading notes.

Open a paused app now

Tap Skip this period on the shield, or use Protection → Skip this period in QuietAyah. To remove all QuietAyah restrictions, use Stop protection. If the app is unavailable, revoke QuietAyah’s Screen Time access in iPhone settings.

Skipping and stopping are always free.

Who is QuietAyah for?

QuietAyah is intended for adults managing their own reading habits and device use. Its protection tools are voluntary and can always be stopped. It is not a parental-monitoring service or a way to control another person’s device.

How do reading times work?

Choose one to five fixed daily times under Protection. Enabling protection starts the current period immediately. The selected apps stay paused until you complete the reading goal or skip that period. The next enabled daily time starts a new period.

These are times you choose, not calculated prayer times. iOS may delay system scheduling. Stop protection before changing an active schedule, then review and enable it again.

Why did my reading timer pause?

The timer counts time while the reader is active in the foreground. It pauses when you leave the reader, lock your iPhone, or the app becomes inactive. Return to the reader and tap Start reading to resume.

The timer does not verify recitation, attention, or understanding.

Can I read without Screen Time permission?

Yes. The complete Arabic Quran, search, saved reading position, and bookmarks are available without enabling app protection. Screen Time permission is needed only to pause the apps you select.

What is included in QuietAyah Pro?

Pro adds complete-Quran reading plans, rescheduling, private notes, bookmark collections, and weekly reading reviews. App selection, reading times, reading goals, unlocking, skipping, and stopping protection are always free.

If Pro ends, your existing notes, collections, and plan remain available to read. You can still export or delete your library.

I subscribed, but Pro is not active.

Connect to the internet, then open QuietAyah Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that purchased the subscription. You can check the membership status in the same Settings screen.

If Apple still lists an active subscription and restoring does not help, keep the app installed while seeking support. Do not send your password, payment card information, or private reading notes.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open QuietAyah Settings and tap Manage subscription, or open your iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select QuietAyah to manage or cancel it.

Deleting QuietAyah or deleting your reading library does not cancel an Apple subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple through Report a Problem.

How do I export or delete my reading library?

Open QuietAyah Settings and tap Prepare library export, then Share library file. The export includes private notes and reading information, so choose its destination carefully.

To remove the library from this installation, tap Delete reading library and confirm. Protection settings and your Apple subscription remain unchanged. Device backups may retain earlier copies.

Where does the Quran text come from?

QuietAyah includes the original Tanzil Uthmani text, version 1.1: 114 surahs and 6,236 numbered ayahs. It is bundled for offline reading. English chapter-name meanings are labels, not translations of the Quran.

Open Settings → Quran source & license for attribution and license details, or visit Tanzil. For a display issue, note the surah, ayah number, iPhone model, and iOS version; avoid including private notes.
